Free Showers
We offer free showers to the community at a first come first serve basis from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. When available, we offer sample size
limited post office
For individuals who don’t have a permanent address, we allow clients to have their mail sent here. In order for mail to be picked up, it must be done by the client themselves or a signed proxy. This provided Monday through Friday.
Oaklawn PATH
The Projects for the Assistance in the Transition from Homelessness (PATH), provides clients with a mental health diagnosis who are experiencing homelessness assistance with obtaining and maintaining housing, along with Medicaid, SNAP, and SSI, Mondays and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at a first come, first serve basis. Please register at the front desk when you arrive.
We supply food boxes by the South Bend Food Bank of Northern Indiana’s Supplemental Food Program to low income seniors over 60 years old, distributed the first Wednesday of ever month for those who have previously applied.
Senior Commodity Boxes
For low-income individuals who are working but find it difficult to come in during the lunch hour and eat, they can have their lunch in the refrigerator each weekday. One must apply first. If lunch is not picked up 3 or more days in a row, the program is terminated.
